GOA- The Pearl of Orient

HOW TO REACH

By Air
Dabolim Airport is the chief entry point to Goa. This international airport is situated at a distance of about 30 km from Panaji. Goa is well-connected with major national and international tourist destinations across the world through daily and frequent flights.

By Rail
It is not difficult to reach Goa by trains, especially after opening of the Konakan Railway that connects Margao and Vasco da Gama to major cities in India. You can take trains from Delhi 1,874 km), Mumbai (490km), and Bangalore (430 km) to reach Goa comfortably. From the railway stations, you can hire taxis and motorcycle taxis to reach the desired destinations.

By Road
Goa has a well planned road system that helps people reach Goa from nearby states. One can reach Goa via roads from places like Bangalore, Pune, and Mumbai. Goa also has three national highways that pass through which include NH - 4A, NH -17 and NH -17A. One can hire interstate buses that are run by Government owned tourist corporations or private cabs from nearby places to reach Goa.

By Sea
A significant range of Cruises is available which operates between Mumbai and Panaji thus covering the complete Konkan shoreline. These cruises offer the tourists a close and spectacular vision of the Konkan coastline, which is dotted with beautiful palm trees. A new cruise, which was introduced in December 2003, plies thrice a week from Mumbai to Panaji. However, it is closed temporarily during the monsoons because of rough weather and uncertain behavior of the sea.
